STEVEN CHEPA FELLOWSHIP IN RUSYN STUDIES

The Steven Chepa Fellowship was established in 2001 at the University of Toronto’s

Centre for European, Russian and Eurasian Studies (CERES). The goal of the fellowship is to bring to the University of Toronto graduate students, scholars, and cultural activist from the European homeland who are working on some aspects of Carpatho-Rusyn Studies. The fellowship is awarded annually and normally lasts from two months (minimum) to four months during the academic year (September-June). Recipients of the Chepa Fellowship will receive funds for round-trip air transportation, mandatory Ontario health insurance, and a stipend of $1,600 (Cdn) per month. Housing is arranged for the recipients and paid for from the monthly stipend.

Chepa Fellows will have access to the library facilities of the University of Toronto and to the public programs of the Centre for European, Russian and Eurasian Studies.

Interested applicants should submit a letter outlining briefly (no more than two pages) their program of study. One letter of recommendation should accompany the applicant’s letter, or be sent separately. Address all correspondence to:
